Warren Wesley (Wes) Phillips passed away on August 26, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona at Mayo Hospice of the Valley, Sherman Home. Death was a result of cancer.

Wes was born to Warren Purslow and Eloise (Heaton) Phillips on January 21, 1948 in Great Bend, Kansas. He graduated from Larned High School in 1966. Wes had extensive executive experience in financial services for public and private corporations.

Wes was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Patricia and Kate. Survivors include children Cassandra and Josh of Kansas, Amanda of New York, Meggan of Arkansas, and five grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters Barbara, Sarah, and Joan of Colorado. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family extends heart-felt appreciation and love to Michelle Creveling, Gary Miller, and Jim Cole, Wes’s business partners, who have become part of our extended family.

On Thursday, September 20, 2018, Wes was shared with the desert he so loved. An Arizona site with a marker stating Mile 121 on Highway 60 and 74 was chosen, as this reflected his birth date. A service was performed, including the recital of the Lord’s Prayer.
