Born in Ada, OK on August 17, 1948 and died on July 11, 1986 in Hollywood, CA.

Bob was raised in Larned, KS. until the summer of 1961, when the family moved to North Platte, Neb. He had many fond memories of growing up in Larned with his friends.  George (Crump) Redding & Ruth were his parents…Clark, Doris, David, Dan & Denise are siblings,  .Dan is also deceased.

He graduated from North Platte High School in 1966 & attended Kearney State College majoring in Theater Arts from 1966 to 1967. He did summer stock theatre with the actor Don Johnson for a year, ending up in Hollywood, Calif. He then joined a theater group with Johnson, headed by Sal Mineo, & toured with this group for 2 years. While in Hollywood he worked as an actor, model, & artist doing parts in movies with actors Darryl Hannah & Harry Hamlin, traveling with Todd Rundgren’s rock band as a back up singer. He continued his work as an artist, doing many portraits & set design in the entertainment community. He also did album covers for Barbara Streisand, & the rock group ” Chicago”.

While in Hollywood, he met & became close friends with Cassandra Petersen. He was responsible for creating her character ” Elvira Mistress of the Dark”. They remained close until Bob’s death, & her movie, Elvira, was dedicated to his memory.

Bob was an immensely talented, & complex person who led a very interesting life. He is greatly missed by both family & friends, as he had so much more to give.
